BUSINESS TRIP

For Employees

DURATION:

6-9 weeks on a business trip and 2-3 weeks are free. However, depending on the circumstances, the business trip may last longer or shorter.

For Employees

DEPARTURE:

  • You travel by company's car, ferry or plane;
  • You pick up the car at the address: Tilžės g. 86, Klaipėda;
  • You will receive information about the business trip by email and/or via the WhatsApp application 1–2 working days before departure;
  • When traveling to / upon arrival at a business trip, you must agree on the rotation schedule with the site manager and/or the project manager. Any changes in circumstances must be reported no later than 5 working days in advance. If no prior notice is given, travel expenses must be covered by yourself (this does not apply in cases of accidents, illness, or other important reasons).
For Employees

RETURN:

  • The responsible employee returns the company car to the address Tilžės 86, Klaipėda no later than within 1-2 days. after returning from a business trip;
  • Return a neat and clean car.

Cars

  • When taking a vehicle for official use, it is necessary to sign the initial vehicle and/or fuel payment card handover–acceptance act (via the BSS system) or the act additionally left in the vehicle. The driver must assess the vehicle defects (damages) indicated in the vehicle document folder and in the visual image of the vehicle. The vehicles are equipped with GPS and card-based identification systems, so the drivers are issued with identification cards.
  • In case of a company vehicle malfunction, or upon the expiration of insurance or scheduled maintenance, inform your project manager and the head of the facilities department.
  • Use the fuel card only to pay for fuel, purchase windshield washer fluid, car wash services, and road tolls.
  • When the car crew changes, check and register the car accessories and send the information to the project coordinator. During the last week of each month, send the project coordinator the current and organized car transfer-takeover documents.
  • Use the vehicle for personal needs only after submitting a request and coordinating it with the project manager.
  • In the event of a traffic accident, inform your manager. Fines for traffic regulation violations must be paid by the driver personally.

ACCOMMODATION

  • Accommodation is for 1-2 persons per room;
  • When staying in rented premises, we kindly ask everyone to maintain cleanliness and order in all areas (rooms, kitchen, showers, toilets, etc.);
  • When departing, leave the premises in order (tidy up, do not leave garbage and personal belongings);
  • If you have any questions or problems regarding accommodation, please contact the project manager.

In accommodation you will find:

  • Bedding;
  • Kitchen utensils;
  • Household appliances;
  • Wifi.

ACCIDENTS

The employee must immediately inform the direct manager (foreman):

  • If injured due to an incident at work;
  • If an accident occurred on the way to or from work;
  • In case of acute occupational disease;
  • If a person witnessed the event or its consequences;
  • If an accident ALMOST happened;
  • The foreman must inform the work safety and health specialist about the incident, and if necessary, call for emergency medical help.
  • Failure to report an accident at work or acute occupational disease is considered a violation of work safety and health.

FIRST AID

  • When traveling on business to European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland, or Switzerland, always carry the European Health Insurance Card. This card will assist you in accessing medical facilities if needed. You can obtain it for free at your local hospital cashier.
  • In Finland, you can get first aid free of charge at Pihlajalinna clinics. You can find the addresses of the departments at: https://www.pihlajalinna.fi
  • In Norway, employees can get medical help at any state-run medical facility. General emergency telephone no. 113.

BEHAVIORAL NORMS

In the company, we do not tolerate:

  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol and psychotropic substances in company cars;
  • Disrespectful behavior;
  • Harassment;
  • Bullying;
  • Discrimination based on gender, race, nationality, language, origin, social status, beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability, belonging to an ethnic group, religion.
  • When faced with such situations, the employee should not hesitate to contact the personnel manager or the head of the construction department.
  • A verbal warning may be given to an employee for violating work duties. Repeated violation of duties may result in dismissal.

BREACH AND DISMISSAL

  • Coming to work or being at work under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or other intoxicating substances and the use of such substances in the workplace;
  • Harassment based on gender or sexual harassment, acts of a discriminatory nature or violation of honor and dignity towards other employees or third parties during work or at the workplace;
  • Refusal to undergo a health check-up, when such a check-up is mandatory according to the norms of labor law;
  • Theft or attempted embezzlement of the property of the company or other persons;
  • An act with signs of a crime committed during work or at the workplace;
  • Absence from work without valid reasons and without the prior permission of the manager.

WHO TO REFER?

  • Your supervisor will answer any questions you may have at the workplace. For other questions, contact the project manager;
  • If you need special advice regarding relations at work, payment of wages, social guarantees, granting of leave or any other matter important to you, a personnel specialist will always help you.
